History
Good Shepherd School is a Catholic parish school serving the community of Inwood and providing a quality education for grades Pre-K 3 through 8. Small class sizes allow for individualized instruction and diversified lesson planning from our experienced and highly talented faculty to best suit the unique educational needs of your child. At Good Shepherd, we are committed to meeting and exceeding your child's educational needs. We believe that is imperative for our students to be well-rounded and this is achieved through creative instruction in the traditional subjects Various extra-curricular activities are open to the students, such as, Science Club, Track Team, Mathematics Club, Scrabble Club, Boy/Girl Scouts, Scrabble Club, and Altar Servers. As the Parish of Good Shepherd is staffed by the Capuchin Franciscans, service projects, such as Thanksgiving food baskets and winter coat collections, form an integral part of our educational philosophy. Good Shepherd School has and continues to serve as a spiritual anchor to all who have passed through its doors. The school is located at the most northern tip of Manhattan across the street from beautiful Inwood Park. We offer a Catholic education to students in grades pre-kindergarten (3 years old) to eighth grade.
