Okinawan Goju-Ryu School Of Karate is a martial arts studio specializing in Goju-Ryu karate, a style of karate originating in Naha Okinawa, Japan involving the balance of hard and soft techniques. Sensei Mark Dwyer first started training in Goju-Ryu in 1977, opened his first dojo in 1984, then settled in Chappaqua in 1988, offering classes for men, women and children, including a toddler class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm to 2:15pm. Private adult classes are available on Sundays. Class schedules are available online.
First trial classes are free. Membership discounts are offered to families with three attending martial arts students, and the school also offers no contracts or registrations fees and no minimum or maximum class amount. This dojo is located above Wells Fargo on South Greeley Avenue.
