Owning a shop has always been a dream of mine - I must get it from my mom. She was always buying and reselling and was very good at it. She loved taking stuff and just repurposing it and making it look great. I am not that talented, but I hate throwing stuff away when others can make good use of it.In July 2016 my brother and I opened a little shop in Rome, N.Y. called Family Finds and Consignment Shop. My daughter came up with the name and I loved it! We were there almost a year and doing well. Then in March 2017, my parents gave me a beautiful old building near our home. It was the Lee Grange. The building was built in the early 1900's and was used for many occasions, such as Grange meetings , rummage sales, card parties, and showers. A lot of memories are in this building - not just for me, but for the whole neighborhood. In October 2018 my niece, Theresa Megerell (owner of Pine Hill Craft and Resell), joined me. She is amazing! She sells primitives and repurposed furniture at affordable prices. We are having so much fun and so many vendors are coming in to consign. I consign at 50-50, so bring your stuff in and earn a little money or credit. We carry just about anything - from jewelry, antiques, tools, kids, old and new stuff - you name it, we probably have it or can find it!Because it is a consignment shop we get new stuff every day so people come in every week to see whats new .Come check us out you wont be disappointed!
