A member of the State University of New York, Erie Community College has been operational for more than 55 years. One of the largest colleges in western New York, ECC enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. Formerly known as the Erie County Technical Institute, the college is approved by the Commission on Higher Education and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides various technical and vocational programs, public and post-secondary educational studies, community outreach activities, and related services. Erie Community College offers associate's degrees in various academic areas, including Allied Health, Business and Public Service, Engineering and Technologies, and fine and Liberal Arts. Additionally, ECC provides day, evening and weekend classes, winter and summer sessions, distance learning options, Internet and telecourses, child care centers, tutorial and counseling solutions, career resource facilities, student organizations and clubs, and disabled student resource centers. The college has campuses in Buffalo, Williamsville and Orchard Park, N.Y.
