Founded in 1889, Emma S. Clark Memorial Library is one of the oldest public libraries in Setauket, N.Y. The library offers more than 200,000 items that include books, periodicals, audiotapes, videocassettes and software products. It serves over 45,000 residents of its community. Emma S. Clark Memorial Library provides buying guides, consumer pamphlets and reports on charities and nonprofit organizations. It has a consumer information center that provides a full text of government consumer pamphlets and an access to several federal agencies and consumer sites. In addition, Emma S. Clark Memorial Library offers several programs especially designed for teenagers.
