The story of Em began when Patrick Lin, an importer of fruits from Vietnam, met Ly Nyugen. He flew back to Vietnam as often as he could to visit her, and one day joked that he would have to try her cooking before they tied the knot. When Ly cooked him a bowl of Hu Tieu, a Vietnamese-Cambodian noodle soup with origins in China, Patrick knew he had found someone as talented as she was lovely. They married and opened Em, named after the Vietnamese title of a husband for his wife, and Ly's Hu Tieu is now a signature dish. We're passionate about sharing our flavorful and refreshing meals, each made with attention to detail and lots of love.
