East Hampton Bowl is the only bowling alley in East Hampton Town, and it's been around since 1960, when Leon Star of Montauk opened it. Craig Patterson bought it in 1977 and has been running it ever since, undertaking a multi-phase renovation of the 16 lanes, arcade and the Star Lounge bar.
Cosmic bowling lights up at night and people of all ages try to knock down the pins. Automatic scoring and computerized bumpers make it easy for families with members of all skill levels to play together. There are leagues for every age and ability level, and this is the home alley for the East Hampton and Southampton bowling teams.
The full-service bar is closed off from the alley. There is a stage for entertainment, tables to sit down and have some finger food, dartboards and a pool table. The alley will host private or corporate events, and has even held wedding receptions and after-parties.
