Established in 1973, the Childhood Education Center is a private, nonprofit preschool approved by the New York State Education Department. The center, also known as ECEC, serves children with disabilities up to the age of five. It operates several self-contained and integrated classrooms in Albany, Guilderland and Troy in New York. The Childhood Education Center offers counseling, special education and service coordination programs. The center provides occupation, physical and speech therapies. The Childhood Education Center also offers crisis intervention, financial advocacy and family support services. The center serves children and their families throughout the Capital Region in New York. It provides educational and psychological assessment programs.
