Herodotus Damianos, the owner of Pindar Vineyards in Peconic and one of the architects in the prospering Long Island wine industry, founded Duck Walk Vineyards in 1994. Surrounded by 30 acres of Sauvignon Blanc grape vines, Duck Walk North is a great place to taste Duck Walk's wines while visiting Long Island's famous Wine Trail. Both tasting rooms in the Normandy-chateau- style building can accommodate any party.

In 2007, a Duck Walk tasting room opened on Route 48 in Southold, providing another venue for tastings of such Duck Walk staples as Southampton White and Blueberry Port.
Duck Walk also operates a retail wine store in Port Jefferson.
