Established in 1958, DePaul-The Health Association is a progressive nonprofit organization that is committed to providing quality residential, rehabilitation, and treatment services to the elderly, persons with mental illness in recovery, and those who are homeless. DePaul assists individuals in achieving their optimum level of independence and success in the environment of their choice, while remaining sensitive to assessed community needs and available resources. Today, DePaul offers services in 13 counties across two states. DePaul operates nearly 2,300 beds and employs over 1,200 individuals. DePaul serves nearly 4,000 people annually at sites in Western New York and in North Carolina, and has programs certified by the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Office of Mental Health.
