The Cardinal Kung Foundation's mission is to promote religious freedom in China, where practicing the Catholic religion is considered illegal. As a result, Chinese priests that practice Catholicism are forced to become refugees seeking asylum in the United States. The foundation provides support for Catholic priests in the form of donations and prayers. The foundation also provides assistance for Chinese orphanages which house disabled children and persecuted families. Donations are collected online.
