History
Collins sawmill was started in 1971 by owner Robert Collins with help of his father Earl Collins and some close friends. Robert has a long history working in the lumber business beginning his career at Cotton Hanlon sawmill located in Cayuta, NY. Now known as Wagner hardwoods. Robert saw a need for barn and board siding leaving cotton hanlon and starting his own business. Robert utilized an Ireland number 6 right hand to saw lumber. His Nephew Joe Eberhardt carries on the tradition in the role of manager.
