Although somewhat nondescript from the entrance, Melissa's possesses a unique charm. Instead of pretensions one will find all manners of fresh products, usually of a distinct Latin American flavor: guava paste, papaya, tomatilloes, sesame and cumin seeds, as well as dozens of chilies lining the shelves. Additionally, the butcher offers a range of well-tended stock of meats, both raw and seasoned.
Parking, however, is at a premium. Most of the spots are located on Post Road, and the meters run until 6pm.
