CNY Business Review, Inc is Central New York's only business-to-business, multi-media, news-and-information company. Created in 1985 by Norman Poltenson, it currently publishes three business newspapers: The weekly Central New York Business Journal, the bi-weekly Mohawk Valley Business Journal, and the bi-weekly Greater Binghamton Business Journal. The three publications combined, which cover a 16-county area surrounding Syracuse, N.Y., reach a print audience of almost 50, 000 readers. The Business Journals are written for business owners and managers, 90 percent of whom are in management. Our mission is to be the pre-eminent provider of local business news, corporate and executive profiles, industry-trend reports, rankings of key corporations by industry, and a business calendar of events. The Business Journals are the voice of business in Central New York -- the place where area businesses turn first for answers. In addition to the three business newspapers, the company also produces for our 50, 000 readers special quarterly business publications called Green Business and TechBiz. Annually, we publish the Book of Lists, which is a compilation of the industry research we conduct. The company also publishes the HealthCare Provider ( HCP ), a quarterly publication mailed to area physicians, dentists, physical therapists, hospital and nursing-home administrators, and laboratory executives. HCP delivers editorial content on changes in health-care marketing, new construction, medical-legal issues, pending legislation, cost-control, and staff changes.Starting in April 2008, the three area Business Journals launched three new Web sites to bring our audience breaking business news. The weekly cycle for disseminating the news has now been replaced by an hourly cycle in order to keep up with the fast pace of today's business world. Further, we have created news channels that parallel our news beats for those readers who prefer to search special areas of interest. To supplement our traditional text and an expanded photo gallery, the Business Journal Web sites can now be expanded to include videos, podcasts, blogs, and other features as an enhancement to presenting the news. The new Web site offers us a simpler, faster way of interacting with our readers. The area Business Journals are well known as the premier venue for local news and information. We will also assume an expanded role as an aggregator. By integrating our own multiple databases and by selecting a toolbox of links, we plan to bring our readers a wealth of news, information, and data that will help area business executives not just succeed but prosper.BIZEVENTZ, INCFor 20 years, our organization has also produced regional seminars, conferences, recognition events, and trade shows. Through a separate corporation called BizEventz, Inc, we have created, organized, and sponsored over 200 events. Business events are a natural extension of our mission to provide information and networking opportunities. Instead of relying on print or electronics to convey a message, BizEventz creates the environment for face-to-face transmission and networking.
