History
Center for Movement owned and actively managed by Elle Jardim & Donna Singer, both of whom trained under the tutelage of the legendary master trainer Romana Kryzanowska. Our mission is to create a warm, inviting atmosphere with a no-nonsense approach to Pilates and Gyrotonic training. Our first studio was established in Scarsdale in 1998, and still today remains one of the preeminent Pilates & Gyrotonic Studios in Westchester County with a clientele of loyal devotees since our inception, over 10 years strong. Continuing to building on our success and expertise, in 2001 we opened our first Manhattan location at 1018 Lexington Ave. In 2008 we relocated 2 blocks south to 966 Lex. Center for Movement open the doors to a location on Second Avenue. As the newest of our offerings, it's a shining example of the owners' forward-thinking outlook.
