Center for Employment Opportunities, headquartered in New York City, offers job readiness and placement services to men and women returning from prison to New York City and persons under community supervision. Its work experience program, the Neighborhood Work Project, provides immediate, paid, short-term employment and serves as an employment lab, preparing participants with the essential skills to rejoin the work force and restart their lives. More than 50 percent of training graduates are placed in permanent jobs within three months. Center for Employment Opportunities has provided employment to thousands of its graduates in full-time positions with more than 150 area companies and organizations.
