Founded in 1928, Catholic Medical Mission Board offers a wide range of health care programs worldwide. The board organizes various programs that include Aids relief, Born to Live, Choose to Care, Accion for la Salud Familiar and Back to Haiti. It offers antiretroviral therapies to HIV-infected individuals in Africa and the Caribbean. It also provides other services and programs that include voluntary counseling and testing of expectant mothers and providing the nevirapine drug to prevent HIV infection transmission from the mother to child. The board additionally organizes several community-based programs to improve family health in the Caribbean and Latin America.
