The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy is a career training program for eligible youth in the age group of 16 to 24. It provides education, work training, assistance with job placement and follow-up support. The program offers academic education, including basic reading and math, general education development, college preparatory and English as a Second Language courses. Its career skill training is offered in more than 100 occupational areas, such as business technology, health occupations, hospitality, culinary arts, construction and auto mechanics. Additionally, it offers health and dental care, child care centers, spending and clothing allowance and meals. Located in Cassadaga, N.Y., the academy educates youth at more than 20 training facilities throughout the Northeast and in the Caribbean. The center also has a business and community liaison who works personally with employers, educational and community organizations.
