The Oswego County Sheriff's Office is a law enforcement agency that provides public and property protection services for the residents and visitors of the county of Oswego, N.Y. The department includes road patrol, civil, court security, criminal investigation, and marine and winter snowmobile patrol divisions. It also operates a correctional facility. The department s criminal investigation division handles the investigation of serious felony and specialized crimes. It offers the Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in more than five school districts of the county.
