History
Bushwick Print Lab was founded by Ray Cross in December of 2010, as a shared silkscreen studio, accessible to the public. Cross was formerly a co-founder of Ad Hoc Art, a contemporary art gallery and print production space located at 49 Bogart Street on the Morgan Ave 'L' Train stop, and Peripheral Media Projects, a street art collaboration with Garrison H. Buxton. To date, the Bushwick Print Lab has produced prints and assisted and facilitated production for countless artists, designers, musicians, activists, and organizations in New York City. The BPL has also conducted hundreds of 'Live Silkscreen' events in environments ranging from underground parties to corporate meetings. Bushwick Print Lab continues to curate new printmaking work exhibitions in our space and satellite locations. We remain strongly involved in the arts community in Bushwick, and greater New York City, and have worked closely with Arts in Bushwick since the start of the Bushwick Open Studios Festival.
