History
This 275-acre property was donated to Genesee Land Trust in 1998 by RG&E as part of an environmental benefits package to resolve an enforcement action by the NYS DEC. The Preserve borders the Genesee Valley Greenway on the east and the Conrail RR line on the west. It contains wooded wetlands, open meadows, and hardwood uplands. It is home to numerous kinds of birds and an exceptional variety of frogs. The preserve is open from dusk until dawn.
