Located in New Paltz, N.Y., Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services has been operational for more than 50 years. A full-service educational institution, Ulster County BOCES serves various public and private schools, area colleges, community agencies and other local partners. The institute functions as an extension of the local school districts and the New York State Education Department, and serves more than 40,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. It employs more than 1,200 full- and part-time personnel, and serves over 15 districts, including Windsor, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley, Deposit, Harpursville, Johnson City, Maine-Endwell, Newark Valley, Susquehanna Valley, Ulster and Vestal, N.Y. The institute offers specialized programs in cooperation with IBM, The Kopernik Space Education Center, Waterman Center, United Health Services, Partnership 2000, Roberson Museum and Science Center, Broome County Early Childhood Coalition, and Broome Community College. Its divisions include center for educational support and technology, educational programs and career services department and management support services division.
