Built in 1919 as a memorial to war veterans, the Bedford Hills Community House was initially used as a venue for potluck suppers and theater productions. It housed a basement gym for sports activities, which was an unusual function for its time.
Today it remains a meeting place for the community: The Bedford Hills Lions Club, the Bedford Hills Woman's Club and Alcoholics Anonymous get together here. Additionally, it hosts a variety of classes such as dance, exercise and yoga.
