George H. Murray Preparatory Academy-- formally known as Mt. Pisgah Christian Academy-- is a private, Christian primary and middle school that shares space with the XXX Church building. The principal is Alfonzo Forrest, and the resident pastor is Dr. Youngblood. The 30-year-old school has a student population of about 250 and serves grades Pre-K through 8. The school operates as a non-profit organization supported by privated donations, sponsors and tuition. Murray Prep follows the general curriculum of the school system of greater New York. The school holds two fundraisers every year, including an annual recycling drive of cell phones and empty ink cartridges.
