This conservative Jewish community has been a part of Bayside for more than 80 years. The cornerstone of the building -- erected in 1959 -- was quarried from Jerusalem itself. Today the facility features a sanctuary, and events ballroom with a bar to toast l'chaim on happy occasions. Aside from religious prayer services, the building hosts both a sisterhood and men's club, which plan social events. Hebrew classes and movie clubs are some other functions of the synagogue.
