Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard is the western-most vineyard on the trail of North Fork Wine Country. Owner Sam Rubin planted his first vine in the mid-1980s after purchasing the farmstead of his dreams in Baiting Hollow. That farmhouse has become a cozy, low-key spot for wine enthusiasts across Long Island and New York City to try the vineyard's array of wines, including the popular Cabernet Franc and White Satin Wine. Mr. Rubin, now in his 80s, still works the vineyard while his son, Richard, runs the business side of the operation.
