Established in 1914, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, also known as JDC, is a social welfare organization that provides educational, medical and community support services for distressed Jewish individuals. It works in more than 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America to rescue at-risk people and overcome the social challenges of vulnerable citizens.
