Assafa Islamic Center is a not-for-profit, religious and non-political organization that was established by the local Muslim community in New York City in 1996. With a focus on providing essential services to the community, the center offers five-time prayers, weekend school, and Hifzul Qur'an classes. In order to expand its offerings and continue serving the community, Assafa Islamic Center is currently working on a new project that aims to provide a dedicated space for da'wah and interfaith dialogue, an expanded prayer area, a full-time Islamic school, and various religious educational programs and social services.
Recognizing the importance of building a strong foundation for the future, Assafa Islamic Center is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Through its new project, the center aims to foster a sense of community, promote religious education, and facilitate interfaith understanding. With the support of generous donations, Assafa Islamic Center strives to fulfill its mission of providing a space for worship, education, and social services that meet the needs of the Muslim community and the wider society.
