The Armor Volunteer Fire Company has been serving the community with 100% volunteer manpower since its inception. We provide Fire, Rescue and EMS protection to its approximately 5,500 residents in a 2.55 square mile area, responding to roughly 400 calls per year. The Armor Volunteer Fire Company was officially founded on May 5th, 1944. The Company's first pumper, a 1922 American LaFrance was purchased from Hamburg Fire Department for $450.00.
