HistoryThe Croatian-American Chamber of Commerce was informally established in 1998 in New York at the initiative of a group of Croatian business people who recognized the need for a common business organization. In August 2003 it was formally incorporated as a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization which finances its activities through membership dues, donations and service fees. The Chamber's goal is to bring together and link business people in Croatia and the United States for the purpose of formulating joint business ties and promoting bilateral business relationships between the two countries.SpecialtiesThe Croatian-American Chamber of Commerce promotes the interests of its members who consist of Croatian professionals, small business owners, large business corporations, and international corporations. The Chamber provides its members with business information, assistance in establishing business contacts and advisory services. It also organizes seminars and lectures on various current topics related to the economy, law, business administration, communications and other trends, and offers programs in career development and professional exchanges.
