History
Our American Legion Post 1038 was officially chartered and started in 1931, by the veterans and buddies of local US Navy Seaman Adolph Pfister from after WWI. He died in 1919. Returning WWI veterans were the first Legionnaires. We welcome all honorable Wartime veterans and their eligible family, including the Vietnam, Gulf War, Desert Storm, OIF/OEF, War on Terror, etc. plus in between, and their family members through today. You are always invited, so please join us! We are all wartime veterans, their family members and also complete volunteers, as we receive no government funding or tax money!
