The American Legion is the largest veterans organization in the United States, providing services and support to more than 2.6 million veterans. Post 694 organizes and leads Veteran's Day and Memorial Day parades. It holds several fundraisers each year including a golf outing. The post also sponsors or solicits sponsors for several attendees of Boys' and Girls' State each year. The post is a cozy structure with a homey feel directly south of the Northport Village Highway Department. Parking is in a free municipal lot but the lot is often crowded.
