Mike's stallar career has not been overlooked by Hollywood as he has been a special consultant to the hit show NYPD BLUE. Dennis Franz has personally befriended Mike and integrates some of Mike's real cases into the show.Michael also enjoyed a successful career within the NYPD, retiring with the rank of Detective Sergeant. Mike was Commanding Officer within the highly successful Detective Robbery Identification Unit. He has personally supervised over 5, 000 serious criminal investigations during his tenure.
