The AGS Foundation for Health in Aging, also known as FHA, is a nonprofit organization that advocates special health care needs for adults. Established in 1999, the organization provides various programs related to wellness and preventive care, self-responsibility and independence, and connections to family and community. It also offers public education, clinical research programs that advance the principles and practice of geriatrics medicine. The AGS Foundation for Health in Aging educates policy makers and public on the health care needs and concerns of older adults. It supports aging research that reduces disability and frailty. The organization is a part of the American Geriatrics Society, which is a nonprofit association of geriatrics health care professionals.
