Aditya Derasari, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery and correction of failed joint replacement surgeries. Dr. Derasari also treats arthritis of the hip and knee non-surgically. Dr. Derasari completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas and his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ Jackson Health System. He earned his medical degree from University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. As a medical student, Dr. Derasarie was selected to be part of the Howard Hughes Medicine Institute - National Institute of Health Research Scholars Program, spending a year in laboratories at the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, conducting mentored biomedical research. He also earned the Martin and Ruth Silbiger Scholarship in Research; awarded to a graduating senior who made great contributions to research efforts at the USF College of Medicine. Dr. Derasari graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Florida.Dr. Derasari is published in several medical journals, including, Physical Therapy, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, Journal of Orthopedic Research and the Bone and Joint Journal.
