Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone are two inter-related pet oriented veterinary practices. Both veterinary practices are run by Dr. Stu Stevens, a caring, kind veterinarian and his compassionate staff in Saranac Lake and Malone. When you come to us with your pet dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, iguanas, snakes, and turtles, rest assured that we will make every effort to give you and your pet the most professional veterinary medical care possible. We work on the premises that we treat your pets as though they are our own-we know your pets are important members of your family. Caring and concern underscores all our efforts in your pets behalf. We at Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and the Animal Clinic of Malone also believe that a small mom and pop veterinary hospital can still deliver b ig on medical and surgical services, and because we know our clientele one on one, it makes for better and more individualized veterinary care. Bo th Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and the Animal Clinic of Malone are each self sufficient facilities with their own staff ready to help you and your pets. We offer in house anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, medical workups with in house CBC and blood chemistry testing, radiography ( X Rays ), and recently Abdominal Ultra-Sound. We are predominantly wellness oriented, practicing the highest quality preventative health and wellness testing on your pets. It is much easier and better to stay ahead of health problems with routine regular preventative health maintenance visits than it is to treat your pets with a protracted, debilitating illness with no hope of success. This is why we are such advocates of semi-annual checkups for your pets. What is the value of a lifetime of veterinary medical experience? Dr. Stu Stevens offers twenty-eight plus years of veterinary medical experience examining, diagnosing, treating, and prognosing the medical and surgical problems of your pet dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles. This amount of experience is invaluable and cannot be underestimated- in fact it is the strongest selling point of our practice. In addition, Dr. Stu Stevens studied veterinary medicine and had 11 years of college on the way to ascertaining his doctor of veterinary medicine degree ( DVM ). Dr. Stevens graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and has seen some 3000 animal cases a year for the last 28 years. That s a lot of experience under his belt! Our support staff of receptionists and animals handlers in Saranac Lake and Malone have been with us for a number of years. The business manager is Donna Stevens, a wonderful and caring lady that has been there beside Dr. Stevens every step of the way. Dr. Stu is proud to have Donna as his wife and lifelong companion in work and play. Our current front desk associates are Rachel in Malone and Jenda in Saranac Lake. Our animal health assistants are Jamie in Saranac Lake and Shannon in Malone. We would be happy to show you around and meet you and your pets! We ll bend over backwards to show you that we re the right veterinary practice for you and your pet dog, cat, pocket pet, or reptile. We offer special incentives for new clients and their new pets. Long term clients and their pets are our old friends, and new clients and their pets are considered new members of our extended pet loving family
