Founded in 1963, Abbott House is a social service agency that serves Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster counties in the state of New York. It provides services to abused, neglected and abandoned children and families. The agency serves more than 2,500 individuals and families. Abbott House also provides day and residential services for children and adults with disabilities. It provides day rehabilitative services and recreational programs. In addition, the agency offers bridge family, youth retreat and mentoring programs. Abbott House provides adoption and post adoption services. It has partnerships with the Community Foundation of Dutchess County, Taproot Foundation, Hyde and Watson Foundation, Group Health, New York Mercantile Exchange and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Abbott House employs a staff of over 500 professionals.
