HistoryI started Dorothy's Petcare in 1996. Because of my passion and dedication to caring for dogs, my clientele steadily increased. As the business grew, my other half, Darius DiTullio expressed a great interest in joining on. So, here we are over sixteen years later and our motto is still the same. Dogs are not just dogs. They are an integral part of our lives and our family. They should be cared for exactly as we care for our children.SpecialtiesWe have a genuine love, respect and understanding of dogs. And, we like people too. Professionalism with loving care. You'll have peace of mind knowing your beloved pet is with a responsible, reliable, and well-trained care giver. We have been and continue to be dedicated to giving the best care possible, whether dog walking, boarding here at our place, or sitting at yours. We are also fully bonded and insured and we are members of Pet Sitters International. Our staff is personally screened and trained for one full month before beginning to work on their own. We don't consider anyone who won't commit to work with us for at least one full year. Happily, most of our workers often stay with us longer. The one full year commitment policy is very important to us because we aim for our staff to build and maintain trust, consistency and familiarity with our clients and especially with all the dogs in our care. We do not walk more than four dogs at one time. Mostly three. We also work hard to become familiar with each dog's personality and habits in order to make that special connection thus maintaining comfort, control and safety in any situation.
