Storehouse West has continued to provide food, clothing and assistance to residents of Sandoval County for over 15 years. In 2008, Storehouse West provided over 300, 000 pounds of food to over 7, 000 families and provided clothing to 1, 000 children. Since it's inception, Storehouse West has used the slogan, "A Community Response to a Community Problem". I believe that Storehouse West has continued to deliver on that slogan, and recognize that it is only possible with the community support. The community has continued to support food drives, at schools, at businesses, motorcycle rallies and by leaving canned goods at the mailbox during the letter carriers drives. The annual spring flower sale brought beauty to the community and raised money to purchase food. The generosity shown during the 'Fill the Plate' campaign this past fall was inspiring. Those funds not only allow Storehouse West to keep the lights on, but to supplement the non-perishable food we collect with milk, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables. Thus far in 2010, with the economy struggling, Storehouse West has provided more food to more people than ever. We will continue to depend on the Sandoval County community to respond with generosity. Storehouse West is truly "A Community Response to a Community Problem".
