Ohkay Owingeh Housing Authority

The Ohkay Owingeh Housing Authority (OOHA) is a tribally designated housing entity (TDHE) dedicated to preserving tribal culture and improving the quality of life for residents on the Ohkay Owingeh Reservation in San Juan Pueblo, NM. Their Owe neh Bupingeh project aims to raise $4 million to renovate the last 25 homes in the historic plaza, bringing families back to live in the Pueblo's 700-year-old sacred core. With a mission to provide safe and affordable housing, OOHA offers a fulfilling way of life for the community, both now and into the future. By reinventing housing and community development, they strive to preserve cultural history while ensuring the well-being of tribal members. Donations to their cause not only contribute to the preservation of tribal culture but also provide tax benefits, with every dollar donated receiving $0.50 back in New Mexico state tax credits and up to $0.28 on federal tax deductions.Generated from the website
