As one of the largest school districts in the United States, Albuquerque Public Schools provides educational services to more than 85,000 children in New Mexico. The district is divided into a cluster system based on more than 10 high schools throughout the district and the elementary and middle schools that feed into them. It additionally operates various alternative schools. A site-based budget allows educators within the community to make decisions about the programs and services available at a school. The Student, School and Community Service Center is the customer service department for the district. The service center deals with family concerns. The department facilitates resolution of conflicts between students or families, and schools or district departments. The district operates various elementary, middle and high schools, and offers a variety of student services. It is located in Albuquerque, N.M.
