The Las Cruces Fire Department, also known as LCFD, is governed by the City of Las Cruces in New Mexico. The department offers fire protection and education services. It operates an administration division that provides emergency medical solutions and reviews, updates and enforces fire-related codes. Established in 1907, the department manages a staff of more than 125 employees. Its operations division offers hazardous materials response services in the Greater Las Cruces area in New Mexico. The department operates over five fire stations. The Las Cruces Fire Department has technical rescue, hazardous materials and aircraft rescue firefighting teams and offers the air management program that includes testing and maintenance services for breathing equipment. The department also provides cardiopulmonary training classes.
