Established in 1987, the New Mexico Clinical Research & Osteoporosis Center is a medical facility that focuses on the development of medications for the prevention and treatment of diseases and the health education of the community. It conducts pharmaceutical-sponsored trials and evaluates the effectiveness and safety of experimental drugs and treatments that involve groups of 100 to 300 people. The center provides 24-hour emergency medical services and offers referrals to other physicians for consultations. The New Mexico Clinical Research & Osteoporosis Center conducts bone density tests for measuring the amount of calcium in a certain amount of bone. It is located in Albuquerque, N.M.
