Highland Junior High School offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades seven through nine. The school is located in Hobbs, N.M., and offers various programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. It is affiliated with the Hobbs Municipal Schools and provides health education, guidance and counseling, and technology and computer education programs. The school additionally provides general music, special education, speech, reading, writing, spelling, speech and phonics programs. It offers various sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field activities. Highland Junior High School has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
