History

The Gruet family started producing champagne in Bethon, France in 1952. Gilbert, Laurent and Nathalie Gruet relocated to New Mexico and started planting in 1984 and released their first wines in 1989.

Gruet Winery has been producing Methode Champenoise in New Mexico since 1989. We offer renowned sparkling and still wines. Please come visit our new downtown Santa Fe Tasting Room attached to the historic Hotel St. Francis.
