History
Fire and Hops is the creation of Joel Coleman and Josh Johns. Joel and Josh met in 2010 while working for two other Santa Fe entities: Koi Restaurant and 2nd Street Brewery. As camaraderie and friendship ensued, so did the seeds of a future endeavor. Returning to Santa Fe after spending a few years in the restaurant industry in San Francisco, Joel met with Josh, who had subsequently worked to launch Santa Fe Hard Cider. Both had long recognized the need for a gastropub in Santa Fe: an upscale pub that serves high quality food and superb beverages at prices typical of a neighborhood eatery. Their shared vision became Fire and Hops, named as a nod to the two integral elements of such a place - exceptional dining and delicious brew in a casual venue.
