Established in 1984 by the New Mexico Department of Education, Central Region Education Cooperative is one of the several educational cooperatives in New Mexico. The cooperative provides services to various rural school districts and state-sponsored schools. It serves Estancia Municipal Schools, Magdalena Municipal Schools, Jemez Valley Public Schools, New Mexico Boys School and the Juvenile Justice Center. Its school support programs include Title I administration, student transition activities, crisis intervention training, school-based health services, state textbook administration, and teacher information and assistance. The cooperative also publishes a newsletter. Central Region Education Cooperative is located in Albuquerque, N.M.
