HistoryHackensack Pediatrics is a family owned business that was started by Dr. Mona Tantawi in 1985. Dr. Tantawi was the first full-time female physician hired by Hackensack Hospital, in any specialty, in 1980. As her reputation grew, she opened her own solo private practice. As the practice grew, more associates joined turning it into a group practice taking care of countless children in the area. In 2004 her son, Dr. Mo Tantawi, joined the practice and the two have continued to serve the Bergen County community and its children for decades. The absolutely number one priority is the focus on Exceptional Quality Care. The doctors truly believe in caring for all the children as if they were their own. They take pride in serving the community, and nurturing children from birth to age 26 years old; many of whom grow up to then bring their own children back to Hackensack Pediatrics.
