Zion Lutheran Church was founded in 1905 on Washington Avenue and moved to its current location on Second Avenue in 1925. A member of the national Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod --Zion Lutheran is committed to responsible Christian education and Biblical interpretation. The church sponsors the Zion Lutheran School, located around the corner, for children ages 3 to 13. The church offers care for the elderly and young families with children and an education mission in Ghana. There is also a Homebound Ministry, which offers at-home worship for members of the church who cannot regularly attend worship services. Volunteer opportunities are available.
