The Wildwood Crest Police Department works to provide a safe and peaceful environment, as well as protect the lives, property and rights of residents through patrol, investigation and law enforcement services. It maintains detective, communication and administration divisions. The department has a juvenile task force that is funded by state grant and operates as a primary coordinator of juvenile-related activities. In addition, the Wildwood Crest Police Department supports a domestic violence task force. It hosts the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which helps children avoid involvement with drugs, gangs and violence. The department s crime prevention division conducts a variety of functions to prevent criminal activities and provides various services, such as winter property checks, security inspection and neighborhood watch.
